MDrive Electric Car Share

Vehicle Reservation Service for the MDrive Electric Car Share Program.

DENSO, Ford Motor Company and NextEnergy have teamed up to study the benefits and challenges of a vehicle designed for sharing. In partnership with the University of Michigan – Dearborn we are offering student residents of The Union at Dearborn the opportunity to help shape the vehicle of the future.

This app will allow participants the ability to reserve access to a set of three fully-electric Ford Focus vehicles (parked in designated spots with charging stations) that can be reserved for use on a day-to-day basis to run errands, meet friends for dinner or even catch a concert downtown.

Because we want to promote sharing amongst our users and the most efficient use of the available vehicles, this app will also allow users to swap or share request other participants in the study. The person with the original reservation will have the power to accept or deny the request. All of this will be updated automatically.

Setting up your reservation is as simple as selecting the date and time you need the service and then selecting the vehicle you wish to drive. When it becomes time for your reservation you can use the app to start your reservation, unlock the vehicle, and be on your way!

DENSO, Ford Motor Company y NextEnergy se han unido para estudiar los beneficios y desafíos de un vehículo diseñado para compartir. En colaboración con la Universidad de Michigan - Dearborn estamos ofreciendo a los residentes de los estudiantes de la Unión en Dearborn la oportunidad de ayudar a dar forma al vehículo del futuro.

Esta aplicación permitirá a los participantes la posibilidad de reservar el acceso a un conjunto de tres vehículos Ford Focus totalmente eléctricas (estacionado en lugares designados con estaciones de carga) que puede ser reservado para su uso sobre una base del día a día para hacer los mandados, reunirse con los amigos para la cena o incluso echar un centro de conciertos.

Porque queremos promover el intercambio entre nuestros usuarios y el uso más eficiente de los vehículos disponibles, esta aplicación también permitirá a los usuarios intercambiar o solicitud cuota de otros participantes en el estudio. La persona con la reserva original tendrá la facultad de aceptar o rechazar la solicitud. Todo esto se actualizará automáticamente.

La creación de la reserva es tan simple como seleccionar la fecha y hora en que necesita el servicio y luego seleccionar el vehículo que desea conducir. Cuando llega la hora de su reserva, puede utilizar la aplicación para iniciar su reserva, desbloquear el vehículo, y estar en su camino!
